Fun Stroller Outings in Saskatoon

Fun Stroller Outings in Saskatoon
Strollers are amazing inventions that allow moms, dads and caregivers the freedom to roam and carry babies and all the gear that comes with them. But, let's face it, strollers also can be cumbersome to get in and out of certain vehicles and businesses.

I can tell you from experience, the stroller stage does indeed fly by, so you might as well have fun with it while it lasts. Here are four must-try activities in Saskatoon with your baby and stroller before you are out of this phase for good.

1. Grab a free cone of Beppi's Gelato ~ Located just off Broadway Avenue, Beppi's offers its delicious gelato and sorbetto in free cones for children in strollers. My big kids and I just love each of Beppi's handmade flavours we have tried.

2. River loop walk and D'Lish by Tish date with a friend ~ My favourite stroller-related memories include walking and chatting with a friend along the lovely South Saskatchewan River while my baby either napped or enjoyed the ride. I recommend parking near D'Lish by Tish Cafégoing on a five-kilometre walk and talk down Broadway Bridge and up University Bridge, then meeting back at the café for tea or lunch and further conversation. As long as there are tables available in the back, we have been invited to bring a stroller in to D'Lish while we enjoyed our tea. If it is nice out, they have a few patio tables as well. This is an outing I like to do year-round!

3. Shop 'n Stroll at Lawson Heights Mall  ~ Turn your stroller into a portable fitness machine during Shop 'n Stroll at Lawson Heights Mall. Parents and babes meet in front of the Customer Service area on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. I enjoyed this workout class when my babes were in the stroller phase.

4. Remai Modern Stroller Tours ~ On the first and third Wednesday of each month, museum educators at Remai Modern offer caregivers of children 18 months and younger a casual, stroller-friendly tour through the galleries. No need to register. Simply meet on level 2 at the Cameco Play Area.
