 Singing with Sylvia for Christmas

season change walking tour

It appears we have awakened to clearer skies this morning. (A little ray of sunshine just brushed my shoulder and lit up my computer screen as I typed that!)

On Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m., the Meewasin Valley Centre will be hosting a walking tour to explore all the signs that spring has landed in Saskatoon, and it looks like it might be a great day for it.

Amanda will be your tour leader as you depart from the Meewasin Valley Centre (402 Third Avenue South) and meander along the river. She will share information about the trees, birds and buds that you will see along the way. You will also have the opportunity to learn a bit about the history of the pioneers who settled this area and some of their springtime activities.

The tour is free of charge. Call 665-6888 for more information or to let them know that you will be attending the tour today.

Of course, there are a few other walking tours taking place around our city today that you may have been planning to take. The Meewasin Valley Centre is planning future walking tours every Wednesday in July and August. Be sure to check with the Meewasin event calendar, as well as saskmom.com, for upcoming events.
