 Singing with Sylvia for Christmas

Infant massage has been said to aid in the development of a baby's brain, body and his or her bond with parents. Studies have shown it promotes deeper sleep and less crying. My doctor even recommended massage to help my son's digestion when when he was having constipation issues

Birth Rhythms is offering a terrific opportunity to learn more about the benefits of baby reflexology, share special time with your baby and meet other like-minded parents.

This course, taught by Sunava Hintz, goes way beyond the basics. It is a hands-on class for parents of newborn babies up to 8 months old to learn how to safely and therapeutically massage their babies during five weekly one-hour classes.  Each class has a specific focus and covers a different body routine and concern such as colic pains, teething, etc.

There are two Winter 2011 sessions for infant massage on Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m.:  January 10 through February 7 and February 28 through March 28.

All classes are held at the Birth Rhythms Studio in Oshun House. Each infant massage class is followed by a 90-minute Birth Talk session.
