Favourite Sunday Brunch in Saskatoon

Favourite Sunday Brunch in Saskatoon

I love a good brunch after church on Sundays. My absolute favourite Saskatoon brunch spot is Bon Temps Cafe. On Sundays from 12 to 2 p.m. they serve up a heavenly combo of brunch with a side of live bluegrass music.

I always seem to gravitate to the Nola Benny, which is a southern biscuit topped with two poached eggs, ham, crab and hollandaise. It is so delicious! If I'm more in a lunch mood, I go for the Decatur St. Style Muffuletta, which always conjures great memories from the couple trips I've taken to New Orleans.

My daughter's fave is the Bon Temps French Toast: cream-cheese-stuffed French toast with Saskatoon berry topping. They do not have a kids' menu, so she usually has a bit left over for me to enjoy for "dessert." Bonus!}

It is always burger time for my son. The Bodacious Burger is a half-pound with all the fixings including creole mustard and bacon and a choice of side. My growing boy has a healthy appetite and generally polishes it off with no problem.

The decor at Bon Temps always gives us a great Halloween vibe, so this is always on our to-do list in the fall. But, really, my family is always in the mood for good food and fun music.

{If you do go around Halloween, it is worth trying to recreate this eerie photo in the women's washroom.}
