{ city-wide food drive }

Each month, the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre provides emergency food to 12,000 people in Saskatoon and surrounding areas. Almost half are children.

On May 3, our community has the opportunity to help out by participating in a City-Wide Food Drive. For those who have received a bag in the mail, simply fill it with healthy food and put it on your doorstep by 10 a.m. on Saturday. If you did not get a bag in your mailbox, you can bring a bag of food to your grocery store Food Bank bin.

To the right are some of the most-needed food items. The Food Bank has also recently requested jarred baby food for its smallest visitors.

This is a wonderful opportunity to involve the whole family in a worthwhile community service project.
