{ soccer centre drop-in playground }

From mid-September through May, the Saskatoon Soccer Centre offers a drop-in indoor playground for the public Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. at 219 Primrose Drive.

The gated indoor field is transformed into a large, open playground with a variety of fun ride-on toys, plus bins of sporting equipment, building blocks, toys and books suitable for children up to around age six. There are even a few exersaucers for babies.

Kids can play and socialize with each other in a safe and controlled environment, while their caregivers join in the fun or enjoy adult conversation over a warm beverage from the chairs on the sidelines.

There are small picnic tables available for snack time. Food and drink are welcome, but keep in mind it is a peanut-free facility. Bring your own travel mug and enjoy coffee, teas and hot chocolate available by donation.

The cost is $5 per session for the first child and $1 for each additional child within a family. {There are discounts for Saskatoon Health Region employees presenting identification.}

There are many options for families who plan regular visits to the playground. A punch card covering seven visits throughout the season are $30 for one child, $35 for two kids or $40 for 3 children. Or, additional children may be paid per visit for $1 each {which may be helpful if the number of children you bring may vary}. Monthly passes are also available for $45 for one child, $50 for two children and $55 for three children. Season passes are available for $275 for one child, $300 for two children or $325 for three children.

On your first visit, you will be asked to complete a quick registration. After that you will just need to sign in.

This would be a great place to plan your next mommy (or daddy) meet-up!
