 Singing with Sylvia for Christmas

More than 50 craft and visual artists will be exhibiting their products at the Waterfront Craft Art Festival on Saturday, June 12, at River Landing.

“This year’s Waterfront sale will be the biggest ever at the River Landing site,” said Chris Jones, member services co-ordinator for the Saskatchewan Craft Council. “We’ll have some of Saskatchewan’s best potters, woodworkers, textile artists, blacksmiths, jewellers and much more at Waterfront. Every craft artist exhibiting at the Waterfront Craft Art Festival has successfully undergone the rigorous jury process of the Saskatchewan Craft Council to ensure that only the highest quality handmade goods are for sale.”

For added fun, a horse-drawn wagon will provide a free shuttle service between the Saskatoon Farmers' Market and the Waterfront Festival.

"The craft artists at Waterfront use a lot of traditional techniques when they produce beautiful works of craft art," Jones said.  "We thought it appropriate to have a traditional way of getting to the market."

The Waterfront Festival definitely sounds like a great place to buy some unique hand-crafted gifts. Even if you aren't looking to buy anything, it would be a great way to spend a few hours outdoors with your family.

The Waterfront Craft Art Festival will be held on Spadina Crescent between 2nd and 3rd Avenue near the Victoria Bridge from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free.

  1. Oh wow, my daughter would love the horse drawn wagon. Hopefully the rain stops for the weekend but the weather forecast doesn't look good :(

When you come to Waterfront - stop by the Saskatchewan Craft Council table.

We'll have ballons for children - young and old.
