On Thursday, May 20, Mommy Hands Baby Sign Language is launching a new class format for parents interested in teaching sign language to their babies.

The Sign & Sing Workshop is a two-hour class for parents and babies from four months to two years. Participants will be introduced to a minimum of 50 signs and four songs.

"These workshops are a perfect alternative for parents who don't want to commit to our regular eight-week sessions," explained Roz Jutras, the Saskatoon mom behind Mommy Hands Baby Sign Language.  "The signs that we will cover in the two-hour course will help parents and babies communicate and reduce frustrations during meal time, play time, change time and bed time."

The May 20 workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Bibbidi Bobbidy Boo, 705 Central Avenue in Sutherland. A $40 registration fee covers the class, plus a signing manual to take home with you. Click here to register.

Mommy Hands Baby Sign Language is offering a complimentary registration fee for not one, but two, lucky saskmom.com followers! To enter, share your first name and your favourite children's song or rhyme. Earn a second entry by joining the Mommy Hands Baby Sign Language group on Facebook.

Entries will close at noon on Thursday, May 13, 2010. At that time, two winners will be chosen through Random.org. Click the link below to enter.
