 Singing with Sylvia for Christmas

remember to enter the walk for memories

Involve the whole family in getting fit and giving back during the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Walk for Memories at the Saskatoon Field House on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 1:30 - 3 p.m.

The Walk for Memories promises to be a kid-friendly, indoor event with children's activities, a photo booth, food and prizes. Strollers are always welcome. (Organizers have asked that special care is taken to make sure stroller wheels are clean before entering the Field House.)

You can choose to register the day of the event, but it is ideal to pre-register online or by calling 651-0260. You can also collect pledges online using your own online giving page.

The majority of the funds raised will stay in Saskatchewan to benefit important local programs and services for people who have dementia, their families, caregivers and communities. A portion of all funds each year support research to find a cause, a cure and better treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.

Once considered a rare disorder, Alzheimer’s affects numerous families in our community and around the world. There are approximately 18,000 people in Saskatchewan alone with Alzheimer’s disease.
