{ ford focus on my city, stop 7: pumpkin festival }

Fall has arrived, and what better to usher it in than a trip to a pumpkin patch! Stop 7 on our weekend adventures with the Ford Focus was Tierra del Sol's annual Pumpkin Festival

Tierra del Sol is a family farm on Valley Road which generally specializes in flowers. Each year they host a pumpkin festival in September, but this is our first year to check it out.

The festival features a hay bale maze, horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin golf, pumpkin T-ball and other fun pumpkin games.

With some of the games, the kids could earn free pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

Everywhere we turned there was a beautiful fall photo-op just waiting to be captured!

They have food, flowers, and other fall decor for sale.

I also peeked in at Tierra del Sol's latest addition -- an on-farm distillery {which I must further explore at a later date}.

Near the end of our visit we walked up to the pumpkin field and picked our own pumpkins. We were able to use our game coupons and left-over tickets to purchase pumpkins to take home.

The pumpkin vines are very scratchy, so you might consider putting your kids in pants and socks. My daughter came out of the patch with a few scrapes and scratches. . . but I think she would say they were completely worth the fun she had picking out her own pumpkin.

We had a beautiful afternoon . . . and you can, too!  The Pumpkin Festival runs Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
