community farmers market at st. james' church

The Community Farmers Market of Saskatoon Cooperative Ltd. opened a new market space in the St. James' Anglican Church basement in October 2009.

While vendor offerings might change from week to week, here are a few of the common offerings you might find in the Community Farmers Market this winter:

  • The Market CafĂ©, offering locally-sourced Indian foods for eat-in or take-away
  • Saskatchewan-sourced fish and elk
  • local grass-finished beef, bison and lamb
  • local organic eggs
  • local organic whole wheat flour and pancake mix
  • local organic lentils
  • homemade bread and other baked goods
  • canned vegetables, pickles, jams and salsas
  • fresh grated ginger and ginger juice
  • sugar-free dried fruits, dips, chutneys, sauces and jellies
  • Indian accessories
  • and much, much more.
The Community Farmers Market is located in St. James' basement, near the Refinery at 609 Dufferin Avenue, Saskatoon. The Market is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each Wednesday. Enter through the south side door and proceed downstairs. Or, an elevator is available for strollers and wheelchairs.

The Community Farmers Market has other locations around the city during spring and summer months.
