and here's to you, mcnally robinson

McNally Robinson is one of my comfort zones in the city. With its well-stocked sections of books, beautifully bound journals, new music and an array of gorgeous gift ideas, I could peruse this bookstore on 8th for hours!

Since becoming a parent, I have become an even bigger McNally Robinson fan.  In my experiences, I have found McNally Robinson to be extremely family friendly. I have nursed my son in big cushy chairs scattered throughout the store; I have changed several diapers on the change table in the ladies' washroom behind the travel section; I have enjoyed several mom and baby dates at the adjoining Prairie Ink Restaurant & Bakery, and I have deliberated for hours over everything from the hottest novels and CD releases to the latest board books and parenting guides in the fantastic upstairs children's section.

In addition, McNally Robinson hosts story times for 3- to 5-year-olds every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the Circle of Trees.

McNally Robinson is a cozy place that nourishes my grown-up interests and simultaneously satisfies my little one's needs...a very cool combo!

  1. I love the children's section of McNally's. They have some unique selection of children's books that you won't find at other 'mainstream' book stores. Support McNally Robinson! It is definitely a Saskatoon treasure.
